    Wednesday, April 27 - Lacy ~ John 1:35-42

Sorry for the latness - I was out all day on Wednesday - but here it is...

    John 1:35-42

i actually laughed while reading this passage because when Jesus turned and saw the three he said What do you want? i thought that was funny. it reminds me of Dory in finding nemo. (in a way)

but what really stuck out to me in this passage is how easily the disciples followed Jesus. they just said look there he is. and followed. if you read in the passage before it you will hear the testimony of john but the other disciples also. i don't know maybe im totally getting the wrong thing out of this, im not the brightest. thats just what i saw first and foremost.

i want to be like that. i wish i were. it took me years to finally dedicate my life to God. but im glad i did. lets go to canada and make disciples.

It always made me wonder why they followed Jesus so easily. I know for one that I would be pretty skeptic if someone told me he was the Son of God. But maybe that is just the society we are living in today...

That's what I want sometimes, to just leave everything behind and be fully focused on Him. I wish that I could just leave school and spend more time somewhere where I could be focused on him all the time.

hey there well i like this also for how easily they turned to Jesus without woundering nad thinkning about it i wish it was that easy to just say hey heres Jesus in the bible and my frineds would turn to him maybe it is that easy if i would just tell them the right things and stuff but maybe im just thinkin it should be easier because im lazy but then we wouldnt have to go out and be disciples all we would do is say something about him and everyone would change and God dosnt want ppl fallowing him that have to so its a good and bad thing in my mind at the same time.

It always surprised me too that the disciples just followed him. And whenever I read that I always yearn to be like that- with everything. Like if God wants me to do something, I just do it. No delays, no arguements, just do it...that's what I got out of this....

I think that it is amazing and wonderful that they asked Jesus where he was staying and he said no... i won't just tell you i will show you. They went and saw where he lived and stayed with him all day. I personally would love to be one of his disciples that was there on that day. I think that I would just have enough trust in him to believe that he was and is the real thing.

I think it is very wierd how the disciples dropped everything to follow Jesus. They didn't know or even care where he was going, they just went. I was taken by surprise when Jesus turned to them and said "What do you want", as if they were doing something wrong.

Okay sometimes I wish I just had that immediate faith and I didn't have to think about my faith so much. THese disciples just followed Jesus around. It's just what they did. Maybe it's because I can't physically see Jesus and they could.

It is really interesting to read this because you hear, not most of the time but a lot of it, how much people hated Jesus. So this was a VERY nice change to hear of people believing in Jesus and following him instead of rejecting him. And I really like the fact that they just dropped whatever they were doing to follow him, without question. I totally relate this to today and I really don't know all too many people who would drop what they were doing to follow somebody that they really knew nothing about...

that would be really cool if more people were like that cuz it would be much easier to talk to people about following God.

I love how john says, "look, the Lamb of God." i mean how did he know it was really him.and to think that they were our age.
