    June 24 - Theresa - John 15:20

    John 15:20

We are going to be the servants in Vancouver. We will be the ones getting the worse treatment and giving the better treatment. Jesus was crucified and he’s our master. His disciples definitely got His kind of treatment and even people today get killed for their faith. Not so common in America, but in China, Indonesia (places where being a Christian is illegal)…I bet they get comfort from this verse and maybe fear – knowing what Jesus went through.

Has there been a time when you were being a servant and were treated horribly, but you stuck through it?

I can't say that I have been treated horribly, but maybe I just blocked it out. Anyway, the point to being a servant is to be like Jesus was. It may, and will, be hard but if he could do it, we can certainly give it our best shot.

I have relatives in Indonesia, so I'm constantly hearing about all the terrible things that are going on there. I think being treated horribly when you're serving is more common than most people realize. So many people (including myself) take so many things for granted. There are people doing stuff for others all around, without even being noticed. Holding doors open, little things like that. I think appreciation is really rare now, and as hard as it is to stick with it when you're being treated like...trash, it's something we just have to deal with, because it's going to happen.

    luke,
god wouldnt give us something that we couldnt handle, that helps me out a lot. i just think that god wont let it go too far. there has been many times where i have done things for ppl and they have showed no appreciation to me but i just think that god will help them see the things that other ppl do for them. i just pray that everyone could realize what others do.

Reading this, I don't really know what to say. I guess I am just thankful I don't live in a place where faith is illegal. I am very thankful that I have been given the opportunity to go to Canada to show others this freedom that we have to believe that Christ is the light in the dark.

i like how its short and to the point go and be like Jesus ppl will listen and fallow we just need to go and tell them about it. we may go threw hard times but Jesus has gone through a lot worse.

No I don't think there was a time where I was being a servant but got treated badly, but I'm sure that it will happen someday.

I completely agree with Chelsea. I don't think that appreciation is shown very often any more. I know I have done servant like things for people all the time, we all do, and we all have had people that haven't really appreciated the things we've done. I know that I have done things for my sisters all the time in the past, but they have never cared or even noticed the things that I have done for them.
