    June 16 - Logan - John 13:1-12

    John 13:1-12

In this passage it is the last supper and Jesus is washing his disciples’ feet so that they can have a part with him. I think this is a very good passage saying that we need to do the little deeds, no just wait to do the big ones and what I think that is what it is saying but I don’t know what do you think it means when Jesus is washing their feet?

What I thought must have been horrible for Jesus is in the beginning when it is talking about Jesus knowing that he is going to be betrayed. I bet that was heart breaking for Jesus to know that one of your beloved followers betrays you and hands you over to your death.

I've always wondered what Jesus felt every time he looked at Judas, knowing that he was ging to betray him. I know God loves us all equally, but it just seems like that'd be really hard to do for someone who is the cause of your death.

I'm amazed that Jesus would wash anyones feet. That's just another reason why he is so amazing. I think it meant that He was showing Himself to be a servant, and He wanted others to follow HIs example.

Yeah that would be hard, I can't help but wonder if I knew my best friend was going to betray me would I still be her friend and love her straight up to and after that point? I don't know if I could or not.

i like how simon peter at first says no dont because he is respecting Jesus, but then Jesus tells him the meaning and Simons like hey then wash my whole body while ur at it, kinda the joker in the group i like a man like that, but then Jesus takes what he said to such a serious matter, how if just ur feet our clean your whole body is clean. Jesus is always down to earth and always makes his point come across you could talk about anything and it would turn to him diein on the cross for our sins

i agree with Joyce and Logan- I can't imagine how I would feel knowing what would've happened that night- knowing that Judus would betray me. But Jesus knew all along- I wonder if he ever thought about that night when he was little...ever dreaded that night.

Wow here's that whole servanthood thing. But not from the person that you would expect. i think it is so cool that Jesus washed the disciples' feet to show them that if he will serve others and in return, they are to serve others. Jesus served and we should too. WWJD

I think this passage applies to me because I try really hard to be a servant to those around me. I don't know if I would go to the extent os washing feet, but like Brianna said What Would Jesus Do, meaning if I were in a position to wash feet, I should because Jesus did and I am a follower and believer of Jesus.

i loved it when the passage said "he showed them the full extent of his love". wow. i mean jesus has a lot of love to go around. and this was the full extent of it. something else that i thought was interesting was when jesus said "right now you don't know why i'm doing this but later you'll understand" to me that phrase doesn't just apply to that particular scene w/the disciples...it applies to every part of our lives. especially through hard times.."right now you have no idea why i'm making you go through this(whatever hard thing it might be) but just trust me, it's gonna be all right. it's all in my plan. trust me."
